Description
The Dhanaakarshana Naradrusti Nivaarana Kavacham (The Shield for Attracting Wealth and Wardoff the Evil Eye) is a powerful, spiritually uplifting prayer. It combines the energies of Lakshmi (for wealth attraction) and Shiva/Durga (for neutralizing Naradrusti—the negative vibrations, envy, or “evil eye” from others).
Dhanaakarshana Naradrusti Nivaarana Kavacham
1. Dhyanam (Meditation Verse)
Brahmanandam Mahaalakshmim Sarvadrusti Nivaarineem |
Swarna-hasthaam Mahaadeveem Dhyaayaami Dhana-vruddhaye ||
Meaning:
I meditate on the supreme, blissful Maha Lakshmi, who removes all forms of evil eyes and negative glances. Holding gold in Her hands, I pray to the Great Goddess for the continuous increase of wealth.
2. The Kavacham (The Protective Shield)
The Head and Forehead (Intellect and Focus)
Shiro me paatu Lakshmeeshah bhaalam paatu Harapriyaa |
Kudrusti naashanam kuryaad netro me nitya-rakshinee ||
May the Lord of Lakshmi protect my head, and the beloved of Shiva (Durga) protect my forehead. May the eternal protective energy shield my eyes and destroy all malicious glances directed at me.
The Face and Speech (Grace and Attraction)
3.Mukham paatu Mahaamaayaa dhana aakarshana kaarinee |
Jivhaam paatu Saraswatee sarva-dosha vinaashinee ||
May the great illusionist (Maha Maya), who attracts boundless wealth, protect my face. May Goddess Saraswati protect my tongue, destroying all flaws and negative speech.
The Heart and Chest (Abundance and Courage)
4.Hrudayam paatu Kaameshee dhana-dhaanya pravardhinee |
Baahoo me paatu Varadaa sarvadrusti vinaashinee ||
May the ruler of desires (Kameshwari) protect my heart and multiply my wealth and sustenance. May the boon-giving Goddess protect my arms and shatter all evil eyes.
The Center and Surroundings (Stability and Aura)
5.Naabhim paatu Jagaddhaatree gruham paatu Sulechanaa |
Sarvatah paatu maam Durgaa Naaraayani namo’stute ||
May the creator of the universe protect my core. May the beautiful-eyed Goddess protect my home. May Durga protect me from all directions. Salutations to You, Narayani!
